The flight depends on weather, wind and local permissions. Expect cool air before sunrise, soft light over the fields, and wide views toward the desert cliffs before returning to continue the main tour.

10–20 minutesCross to the West Bank and stop briefly at the Colossi of Memnon, two massive seated statues that once guarded a much larger mortuary temple. It is a quick but useful orientation point before entering the desert-edge landscape of the royal tombs.
About 1.5–2 hoursVisit the Valley of the Kings, where pharaohs of the New Kingdom were buried in rock-cut tombs. Your guide helps you understand the layout, symbolism and tomb selection before you enter the open tombs included with the standard visit. Some special tombs may require separate tickets if you choose to add them locally.
About 1 hourFinish the main West Bank sightseeing at the Temple of Hatshepsut, known for its terraces, colonnades and dramatic cliff backdrop. Your guide explains Hatshepsut’s reign, the temple’s design and why this site looks so different from many other temples in Luxor.
